The Local Farmer is a South Africa–based microgreens supplier supporting businesses with fresh, sustainably grown produce. Since 2020, we have specialised in producing microgreens that meet the consistency, quality, and reliability required by professional kitchens and retail environments.
Our urban farming model enables local, controlled production—helping businesses reduce supply chain risk while maintaining high standards for flavour, nutrition, and presentation. Each crop is grown with commercial use in mind, ensuring dependable availability and uniform quality across orders.
We currently supply a selection of Mighty Microgreens, cultivated for nutrient density, visual impact, and flavour performance, making them suitable for restaurants, hospitality groups, caterers, and food retailers.
