  • Microgreens are plant seedlings that don’t need much space to grow, and can be harvested within two weeks of germination. The seedlings range from being vegetables, edible flowers, and even some fruit. Specifically, a microgreen is harvested once the cotyledon leaves have fully grown.
  • Yes, you’ll be sent a tracking number once your order has been shipped. 
  • Timelines will depend on your order, however you’ll receive a time estimate with your order confirmation.
  • If your order is part of your Pick Your Mix Subscription Plan then it will arrive on the weekday you chose when signing up for our subscription.
  • We don’t, however you can purchase and ship it to your desired location.
  • Due to the perishable nature of our products, we don’t do refunds or exchanges. However, we can replace your order should there be an issue with the produce you received.
  • We accept Debit and Credit Cards and we have an Instant EFT payment function.
  • Unfortunately, once an order has been placed it can’t be changed. We harvest to order so that orders can be shipped almost immediately after being placed.
  • Our prices vary depending on the product and amount. You can browse our product prices  here.

  • Our Mighty Microgreens are 100% organic, packed with natural nutrients and vital vitamins, and delivered straight from our farm to your table. They’re grown in a controlled environment with enriched  water and carefully inspected throughout the growing process to ensure produce quality meets our health standards. 
  • Microgreens can be paired with just about anything. Our wide range of microgreens offer a variety of flavour profiles. We have a microgreen for every dish!
  • We currently grow 20 different varieties of microgreens to accommodate as many customers as possible. However, caution should be taken by customers who have allergies to seeds (sunflower, etc.) or specific vegetables that we sell as microgreens.
  • The Local Farmer currently delivers fresh microgreens in Bedfordview and the surrounding area, but will soon be delivering nationwide.
  • Microgreens are packed full of nutrients, vitamins, and flavour. Research has also found that these seedlings have various medicinal and health benefits.
  • There are over 100 types of microgreens and we’re still discovering more! We currently farm Tatsoi, Chinese Cabbage, Rocket, Radish, Mustard, Purple Kohlrabi, Red Swiss Chard, and Cress. However, we are always adding new microgreens to our farm so stay tuned for updates on new produce!
